Government's first duty is to protect the people, not run their lives.
 

Republicans believe every day is the Fourth of July, but the democrats believe every day is April 15.

The most terrifying words in the English language are: I'm from the government and I'm here to help.

Welfare's purpose should be to eliminate, as far as possible, the need for its own existence.

We can't help everyone, but everyone can help someone.

We have the duty to protect the life of an unborn child.

Government does not solve problems; it subsidizes them.

Government is not the solution to our problem; government is the problem.

The government's view of the economy could be summed up in a few short phrases: 
If it moves, tax it. If it keeps moving, regulate it. And if it stops moving, subsidize it.
 
We must reject the idea that every time a law's broken, society is guilty rather 
than the lawbreaker. It is time to restore the American precept that each individual is 
accountable for his actions.

Entrepreneurs and their small enterprises are responsible for almost all the economic growth 
in the United States.
 
Government exists to protect us from each other. Where government has gone beyond its 
limits is in deciding to protect us from ourselves.
 
Whatever else history may say about me when I’m gone, I hope it will record that I appealed 
to your best hopes, not your worst fears; to your confidence rather than your doubts. My dream 
is that you will travel the road ahead with liberty’s lamp guiding your steps and opportunity’s 
arm steadying your way. 
 
I hope we once again have reminded people that man is not free unless government is limited. 
There's a clear cause and effect here that is as neat and predictable as a law of physics: As 
government expands, liberty contracts.
